CF Error

So I was at a local nature preserve today and I took a bunch of photos. I set up for another shot and my LCD screen flashes "CF (Compact Flash) Error" and didn't allow me to take anymore pics. I headed home and downloaded my pics, formatted the card, and its working just fine. Reminder to self: buy a back-up CF card. After I downloaded the pics, it turns out some were corrupted. The pics
shown here were not edited or collaged, this is how they came out of my cam.

Testing out my new Sigma 10-20mm lens at Central Park. The color saturation in the first and third pics is incredible. These photos were not adjusted at all.

Rebirth via Wide Angle

Jeff Kirlin (The Thing of the Moment) promised me that my life would change if I purchased this Sigma 10-20mm wide-angle lens. I scoped it out on ebay for weeks and if nothing else, I can say this thing has some strong resale value - because I can't find it much cheaper than buying it new. I purchased it thru amazon of course - they've got the best price, consistently.

I'm awaiting my rebirth... delivered by UPS.

Aged Folks at the Park

A continuation of the OF (Ol' Foggie) series. These were some nice victims at the park.


I had a big zoom lens on and was pointing the camera across the pond. This gentleman was strolling by and said 'Enjoying the Wildlife?'. I than took a picture of him. He would have been insulted - but he didnt know it, because I was using my nifty new right-angle scope. Its not easy to use/aim, but its fun for snagging pics of strangers without looking like a (total) creep.




Both of these were taken with the right-angle scope. If anything about the second picture looks planned ... its not. The scope is extremely difficult to aim... her shoes just got lucky.


Ok, maybe it doesnt belong in the OF series, but there is something OF about it.

Hitchcock

A dirty little seagull at the park. I like the color in the water behind him, it was a nice late afternoon glow.


Its hard to see in the small version of this file, but there are tons of birds behind the tree. The sky had an eerie green glow. Ok, maybe not, the sky was Picasaed (not gonna say 'Photoshopped') I silhouetted the image some and tinted it. It looks like a poster available at Target.

Blueberry battery acid

In addition to photography, one of my hobbies is wine-making. Well its a preliminary hobby, as I've only completed one batch. Just last night after a 5 month process, I bottled 25 bottles (5 gallons) of blueberry wine.
