The stone pickers working the beach in the country-side of La Union, Philippines. They get paid a few pesos per bucket of the good ones (you know, the hard grey round ones). It wasn't until I cropped the second photo did I notice the infant assistant. All taken on telephoto between 100-200mm
Thanks Jeff, thats probably because there are actually people in the photos. I'm usually too apprehensive of taking pictures of strangers. I figured the worst that could happen is I get some stones thrown at me (but then I could make some money).
i accidentally stumbled your blog thru shutterday, the shots are sad but pretty, very up close and real. i just took one look at it and guessed couldn;t it be the phils. and yes,it was! ^0^
